Your Careers Site should stand out from your competitors

“Personalizing careers sites… will significantly impact not only the quality of candidates companies can reach and attract but also the number of relevant applications” (Lars Schmidt)

We are often amazed at how boring many South African companies’ Careers Sites are..

You can clearly see that they are simply using a stock standard template from their Recruitment Software, with no personalization to showcase the uniqueness of their company as an employer.

If you think that you are making your Careers Page a priority, see how many of the following questions you can answer:

  • What is the number of unique visitors to your Careers Site yesterday (or past week)?
  • What is the average time visitors are spending on your Careers Site?
  • What is the bounce rate?
  • What is the conversion ratio between number of unique visitors and job applications?
  • Has the number of qualified candidates that applied through your website increased or decreased over the past year?

If you cannot answer ALL of these questions, you are not taking your Careers Page as seriously as your Marketing Department is your Company Home Page (and Website).
